Wetaskiwin

Wetaskiwin play is a small city in the province of Alberta, Canada. The city of Wetaskiwin is located 43 mi or 70 kilometres south of the provincial capital of Edmonton. The name of the city comes from the Cree word wi-taski-win-ispatinaw, meaning "the hills where peace was made". Wetaskiwin's population based on its 2009 municipal census is approximately 12,000.

The city of Wetaskiwin started a Municipal Sustainability Plan in the month of February 2009.
