
In Alberta Province, Calgary is the biggest city. The city is situated roughly 80 kms east of the Rocky Mountains within the south of the province. The parks within the downtown area include: Beaulieu Gardens, Central Memorial Park, Connaught Park, Eau Claire and Century Gardens. The parks located in the southwest comprise: 12 Mile Coulee, Baker Park, Bowness Park and Bowmont Park; Southwest parks consist of: Battalion Park, Clearwater Park, Edworthy park and Douglas Fir Trail; Southeast parks consist of: Beaverdam Flats, Carburn Park, Elliston Park and Centenary Park; North East Parks comprise: laycock park, Big Marlborough Park and Bottomlands Park.
The biggest industries and contributors to Calgary's GDP is the gas and oil trade. The city is home to businesses like for example EnCana, BP, Suncor Energy, Imperial Oil, Transcanada and Shell Canada. various big company's that make Calgary their home consists of NOVA Chemicals, Shaw Communications, CNRL, Telus, Nexen, Dow Chemical Canada and Shell Canada.
