Leduc

Leduc is a city within Alberta, Canada, and located 33 km south of Edmonton which is the provincial capital. Leduc is part of the Edmonton Capital Region metropolitan area.

The business of gas and oil continue to dominate the economy of the city. Additionally, the Edmonton International Airport is a major employer within the city. The airport is located in Nisku, that is a major industrial park and lies adjacent to Leduc.

While the city of Leduc is located within the Edmonton Capital Region, it has not grown as quick as other communities near Edmonton, although, it has steadily continued to develop during recent decades. The Leduc Representative is the local newspaper. There is likewise a regional newspaper called the Leduc-Wetaskiwin Pipestone Flyer. Leduc Radio is the community radio station which serves the city.

Due to the nearness of Edmonton, all the major media from the big city consisting of newspaper, television and radio, serves Leduc and its surrounding area.
